Without overstating things, a summer dress is the kind of purchase
that can really pep up your life. I don’t mean a pastel, flowered shift
worthy of a garden party. Instead, go for one with a bit of twist. That
can mean anything from a midi-length lace shirt dress, as worn by Pam,
to a subtly asymmetric number such as Lisskulla’s. Print and texture
aren’t out, of course; just find a smart play on the classics – for
instance, the fringing at the waist and hem of Hanna’s knitted shift
worn with clashing red sandals, the graphic squares on pleats such as
Amber’s, or oversized blooms on a maxi, as worn by Nyamka. Expect – or
demand – the unexpected from your summer dress and you’ll come back to
it again and again.
